The business is located at 9431 Foster Wheeler Road, Dansville, New York. The facility has a total capacity of 500,000 square feet and will accommodate several businesses-all relative to the service of the locomotive business. LMC Industrial Contractors, Inc. is a business with over 24 years of service to major companies such as Kodak, Lockheed Martin, Siemans, Kraft and more. Its fabrication facilities will provide the ability for American Motive Power Inc. to supply various components to the industry without outsourcing, thus providing a value-added partner on-site.

LMC Power & Packaging currently provides packaging services for the engine and generator markets and is capable of attracting additional business opportunities related to packaging components related to the locomotive business. Additionally, other opportunities are being evaluated for continuing our direction of in-house sourcing and on-site production of value added services to the locomotive industry. 

The facility also includes 37,000 square feet of office space, which has been renovated to meet the needs with expansion capabilities as well. The proximity to main interstate is within ½ mile and the rail access is capable of handling heavy locomotive traffic if necessary. Delivery and distribution to the facility is outstanding.

Other key points the facility has to offer besides the size of the facility and the on-site rail capacity of over two miles on this 83-acre site, is the power supply to the facility, which is complete with 38,000 volts supplying both 4180 and 2160 in the areas of production. The facility also provides over 550 tons of crane capacity with a 150 and two 50-ton cranes included among a host of 5-10-and 15’s in all areas for a total of 36 cranes.

The skilled labor force that exists in the regional area is trained in highly technical steel fabrication and is known historically for its excellence in product output. There is a readily accessible qualified labor force here.
